BLOODKNOWS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS APPLICATION IS NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE OR MEDICAL CONDITION. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THIS APPLICATION SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.

These terms and conditions apply to the BloodKnows app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by mepost, Inc. (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service.

1. Application Purpose and Limitations

BloodKnows provides general health and wellness information based on blood test results you provide. The Application:

  • Analyzes blood test data using rule-based algorithms and evidence-based medical literature
  • Provides general wellness suggestions that are not personalized medical recommendations
  • Offers educational content about health markers and lifestyle factors
  • Cannot replace professional medical evaluation or treatment

Accuracy and Methodology Disclosure

Our analysis methodology includes:

  • AI-powered text extraction from blood test PDFs and manual entries
  • OpenAI and specialized medical AI models for data classification and analysis
  • Multi-step processing chain that anonymizes personal data before analysis
  • Data anonymization techniques (converting specific values to ranges: age 26 → "25-29 range", height 183cm → BMI calculations)
  • Device health data integration (with your permission) for comprehensive recommendations
  • Evidence-based recommendations generated through trained medical AI models
Data Processing and Privacy:
  • All personal information is anonymized before AI processing
  • Processed data is immediately deleted after delivering results
  • No personal health data is stored on our servers long-term
  • Analysis combines your anonymized blood data with permitted device health metrics
Important Limitations:
  • Analysis accuracy depends on the quality and completeness of input data
  • Recommendations are general and may not account for individual medical conditions, medications, or personal circumstances
  • Results may vary and should always be verified with healthcare professionals
  • The Application cannot detect all health conditions or provide comprehensive medical analysis

2. Agreement to Terms

Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.

By using this Application, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You understand the medical limitations described above
  • You will consult healthcare professionals before making medical decisions
  • You will not rely solely on this Application for health-related decisions
  • You are at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent if between 13-18)

3. Intellectual Property

Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.

4. Application Updates and Modifications

The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. As such, they reserve the right to modify the Application or charge for their services at any time and for any reason. The Service Provider assures you that any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you.

5. Data Security and Device Requirements

The Application stores and processes personal data that you have provided to the Service Provider in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application.

The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, which involves removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. Such actions could:

  • Expose your phone to malware, viruses, and malicious programs
  • Compromise your phone's security features
  • Result in the Application not functioning correctly or at all
  • Void your device warranty and potentially compromise health data security

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions. Below are the links to the Terms and Conditions of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

7. Internet Connection and Data Usage

Please be aware that the Service Provider does not assume responsibility for certain aspects. Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection, which can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of access to Wi-Fi or if you have exhausted your data allowance.

If you are using the application outside of a Wi-Fi area, please be aware that your mobile network provider's agreement terms still apply. Consequently, you may incur charges from your mobile provider for data usage during the connection to the application, or other third-party charges. By using the application, you accept responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the application outside of your home territory (i.e., region or country) without disabling data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you are using the application, we assume that you have obtained permission from the bill payer.

8. Liability and Responsibility

Similarly, the Service Provider cannot always assume responsibility for your usage of the application. For instance, it is your responsibility to ensure that your device remains charged. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the Service, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible.

Medical Liability Disclaimer

The Service Provider assumes no responsibility for:

  • Medical decisions made based on Application information
  • Health outcomes resulting from following Application recommendations
  • Inaccuracies in user-provided blood test data
  • Delays in seeking professional medical care due to Application use
  • Any adverse health effects resulting from Application use

Application Accuracy and Updates

In terms of the Service Provider's responsibility for your use of the application, it is important to note that while they strive to ensure that it is updated and accurate at all times, they do rely on third parties to provide information so that they can make it available to you. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying entirely on this functionality of the application.

9. App Updates and Compatibility

The Service Provider may wish to update the application at some point. The application is currently available as per the requirements for the operating system (and for any additional systems they decide to extend the availability of the application to) may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to continue using the application.

The Service Provider does not guarantee that it will always update the application so that it is relevant to you and/or compatible with the particular operating system version installed on your device. However, you agree to always accept updates to the application when offered to you.

The Service Provider may also wish to cease providing the application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you. Unless they inform you otherwise, upon any termination:

  • The rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end
  • You must cease using the application, and (if necessary) delete it from your device

10. User Responsibilities

By using BloodKnows, you agree to:

Health Data Accuracy

  • Provide accurate and complete blood test information
  • Update your profile information when it changes
  • Understand that inaccurate data may lead to inappropriate recommendations

Professional Medical Care

  • Continue regular medical checkups and professional healthcare
  • Consult healthcare providers before making significant health changes
  • Seek immediate medical attention for health emergencies
  • Not use the Application as a replacement for professional medical advice

Appropriate Use

  • Use the Application only for its intended purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the Application
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of the Service Provider
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

11. Account Management and Data Control

Account Creation and Deletion

  • Users must provide accurate information during account creation
  • Users may delete their accounts at any time through app settings or by contacting [email protected]
  • Account deletion will result in the removal of all personal data within 30 days

Data Rights

  • Users have the right to access, modify, and delete their personal data
  • Users may request a copy of their data for portability purposes
  • Users may revoke consent for data processing at any time

12. Subscription and Premium Features

For users accessing premium features:

  • Subscription terms and pricing are clearly displayed before purchase
  • Users may cancel subscriptions through their device's app store settings
  • Refunds are subject to the app store's refund policies
  • Premium features may change or be discontinued with notice

13. Changes to These Terms and Conditions

The Service Provider may periodically update their Terms and Conditions. Therefore, you are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page and through in-app notifications where possible.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where mepost, Inc. is incorporated. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
